Japan is Awesome (Continued)

Miles

No, Señor Gomez didn't get lost on another adventure.

Japan, despite rain for the fourth time this winter on Feb 2, continues to deliver. While snow was deep in Hakkaisan, wind and sun hit Happo pretty hard.

Yesterday had a high of 6.6 degrees C, and was a lovely reminder of just how warm it can get here without the Kamchatka flow. The fun mix of corn, powder, sastrugi, and slush we found on Feb 1 was downgraded to slush everywhere thanks to over 14mm of rain. Miles and I skied without backpacks for the first time this season, and had lots of fun schussing around Happo.

Conditions got really dismal today, as it was cold, cloudy, and very icy. On the plus side, getting done early means we get a great selection of sashimi at the supermarket. In true Japan fashion, even when conditions suck, life is good.
