Back in the states...



Thunder and lightning Sunday morning made it easier to leave Hakuba than last year, when there was 20cm of new snow. Same as last year though, it seemed I was leaving Japan just after I arrived. So much good skiing with friends makes time go by too quickly.

Getting numb to the clusterfuck of travel, I enjoyed a last few chu-hi on the bus and trains to the airport. Despite tight connections, my bags and I made every flight. After a long couple days of traveling, the first real beer tasted amazing. A proper IPA makes me miss sushi a lot less.
